Stars on Earth was born from the meeting, over coffee, of a group of mothers with children with autism spectrum and developmental disorders at the end of 2018 and, from there, we never left each other!
After a few meetings, it was instantaneous for all of us to realise that we wanted to do more for our children, our families and those in our circumstances, so on 4 April 2019 we formed a Parents' Committee and presented ourselves to the community at an evening event held on 9 May at the Casalmaggiore civic library. Given the large attendance, we fully realised how strongly the issue was felt in the area.
After a year of activities, events, knowledge of the area and our peculiarities, and thanks to 2 new members in the group, on 8 February we grew and became the O.d.V. Association!
Our big goal is to support all families who join our association with self-mutual-help groups, to promote initiatives to improve the quality of life of our children and their families, to set up a constant dialogue between families and public authorities, schools and the third sector; in short, we want to be a support to those people who find themselves in the same fragility as us in order to face everyday life more serenely.
